At kiva cabin, we strive to connect with nature, both through the building itself and the surroundings. We emphasize the extensive use of natural and quality materials. Here, you are almost entirely surrounded by wood, because we love wood. We are located in a natural area in Horné Hámre with views of green hills, and it is important to us that we are an unobtrusive part of it. Come and enjoy nature with us in a different way.

Staying at kiva cabin is meant to be an experience for you, but mainly a space for relaxation, whether mental or physical. Sit by the window and read your favorite book with a cup of coffee or tea, lie on the terrace and enjoy the fresh air, or simply admire the views. Or do you prefer active relaxation? There are many options here, but we ask just one thing of you: relax!

what does kiva look like?

Kiva cabin is located in a natural eco-area in the village of Horné Hámre, just half an hour from Banská Štiavnica. It stands on a hill, at the very top of the area, with views that you can comfortably enjoy from our terrace. Occasionally, animals in the vicinity of the cabin may keep you company from behind the fence.

Regarding the interior of the cabin itself, it may not seem like it at first glance, but kiva offers a relatively generous space despite its dimensions. It is designed to maximize its use while providing you, the visitors, with the greatest possible comfort. Kiva is primarily intended for two people, but if there are three of you, let us know and we will try to figure something out.

The interior of the cabin consists of a living room with a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. You can make use of a comfortable, multifunctional sofa, a dining table, or a coffee table. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals and includes a double hot plate, a kettle, a refrigerator, and a French press. In the bathroom, you can take a warm shower and find a small sink and an eco-friendly, composting toilet. And where do you sleep? The height of the cabin allowed us to create a cozy loft sleeping area with a large mattress and a window offering views from a different perspective.

Many will be pleased to know that although our cabin is located in a natural area, it is connected to electricity. We regularly refill the utility water tank, and its capacity is sufficient for short stays. You won't be cold either; we use an electric convector heater with simple controls. If that's not enough, our high-quality wool blankets will keep you warm. We would like to describe the atmosphere of the Kiva Cabin to you, but we'll leave that to you. Come and see for yourself!
